Pick me! Pick me!

As another way to raise money for my mission, I'm selling some of my paintings. You can buy one I've already done, or order a custom painting. Canvas sizes and prices will be posted later, (once I've figured them out) but until then you can look at these and get ideas for what you might want.
I'm so grateful for all the support you guys have always given me, you're the best! I know I'm not a for reals artist, and I'm grateful you've all made me feel like one. Maybe someday I will be one, and then these paintings that you've bought will be worth mucho buckos ;)
Update: Here's the prices, they're negotiable :)

48"x 60"-- $100
48x 48" -- $75
36"x 48" -- $65
30"x 40" -- $60
24"x 36" -- $50
24"x 30" -- $45
16"x 20" -- $30 (wrap)
16"x 20" -- $20 (flat)

Let me know if you have any questions!
If you're super decisive and already know what you want, email me (chelsielarsen@gmail.com) with canvas size, colors, style, all that jazz, and I'll let you know the price.

(this is one of my favorites, it hangs in our living room so I think most of you have seen it, the colors aren't great on here though. it's 4'x5' and one like this would be about $100, mostly because of the price of the canvas)

This one's not actually finished. But the others are all kind of similar styles so I was trying to show something a little different.

These two oval ones I did for my aunt Diane's baby nursery.
And this I did for Brittany's bedroom.
Yay!

It's Official.

My mission papers are in.
I just got back from talking to the stake president, who assured me that by tomorrow morning, my papers would be in Salt Lake.
He asked me to bear my testimony,
I'll let you know when I've finished crying.

So the guesses may now start flooding in.
Ready go :)

Funny Story

So for my job, I knock on doors all day. I figure it's good practice for my mission.
And today I was at my last house when I left most my stuff in the car and just ran up to the door.
No answer.
No surprise, since most of the neighborhood is empty.
Back to my car.
Locked.

I peered in the window,
And there on my seat
were my car keys.
And next to them, in the cupholder,
was my phone.

All I could do was look around and laugh at the ridiculousness of me.
Basically the theme of my whole day.
You know what I think would hurt the worst?
Finding out someone could care less about getting to know you better.
And not being able to think of a good reason to change their mind.

Neuroscience of a Psychopath

What is a psychopath?
Do you think they are rational people?

My guess was no.
But guess what?
They are.

Psychopaths are actually extremely logical, rational, self-confident people. They generally have above average IQ's.
The rational part of their brain functions as well or better than yours or mine.
However, the part of their brain that handles emotions is broken.
They don't have any.
The sight of a person in pain or afraid doesn't phase them.
They don't feel guilty for inflicting pain on other people.

Thus their ability to squash people like bugs.
For them, it's exactly the same thing.

Thus, the thing that makes us human and wonderful and able to get along with each other is not our ability to act in a rational manner, but our ability to feel and be directed by our emotions.
Take that, Ayn Rand.

Was that new information for you? It was for me.
I thought it was fascinating.

Blog for today inspired by Jonah Lehrer's blog.
The man's a genius.

Think he'd date me? I bet I could convert him.
